My guess is that they rotoscoped each action frame and then camera tracked them back into the footage with a separated background. But then there are some parts that that might not have worked with that method. Some shots definitely look like the Dayton Taylor rig or some variation of that where you can take two photos from two differing angles and then interpolate a camera move.
