Mark Webb's AMAZING SPIDERMAN was better than Raimi's original SPIDERMAN but not better than SPIDERMAN 2 (although they are very similar). But I still don't see why it was necessary to reboot the series. The Lizard was a pretty weak villain, visually and as a character.
