It's quite fascinating to watch "House of Cards" S2 and then go straight into "Breaking Bad" S5 (Netflix). Aside from the morally hell-struck central characters the cinematography reflect completely differing philosophies. HoC has oh-so buttery smooth crane, dolly, and fixed shots with silky shallow depth & a blueish sheen. BB on the other hand is almost entirely handheld (even with fixed shots) with greater depth of focus & a grittier texture & warmer tones. Great stuff on many levels.
