I just had no clue about the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET legacy other than liking part 3 the best. Kraven's 1st didn't quite hit it home for me though I liked the concept and some cool shots (I saw it after part 3, Dream Warriors). Never saw part 2 although the interviews about the homo-erotic subtext are friggin hilarious. Surprised to discover Chuck Russell directed part 3 and Frank Darabont wrote it! I barely remember anything about part 4 but again surprised it was directed by Renny Harlin. Saw all these films before I was even interested in film making myself.
