Cinematographer Vittorio Storaro Warns of "Major Problem" in the Field

And there you go, called out by the master himself Vittorio Storaro. My concerns about the digital camera era shift of emphasis from production to post production correction - where cinematographers lean heavily on available light and sensor sensitivity for post correction rather than achieve proper lighting exposure for the particular needs of a narrative scene. This leads to inconsistent tonality and texture between shots and a lost sense of design in the tapestry of the cinematic arts, specifically in feature narrative films. #facebook
