NO TEARS FOR THE DEAD is an unfortunate let-down after the simple-pleasures of MAN FROM NOWHERE which had very little backstory & straightforward premise, balaced action/dramatic pace, & had a sense of humor & style about it. This latest film is so obsessed with sentimentality that it just sulks in its own cliche despair for the bulk of the film. Performances are decent but monotonous & you know a film is in real trouble when it relies on flashbacks for emotional resonances. #facebook
