I'm a fan of Darabont's film THE MIST but the Netflix series "The Mist" is a big miss 2 episodes in. There's a big difference between people making bad decisions (the film) vs people making stupid decisions (tv series). And there are some glaring holes in the logic of its characters. The mist itself seems to be more of a psychological threat (not outer-worldly creatures like the film) so the drama is spread thin over individual characters which seems to take away from the social discord that made the film great.
